Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a newer technique. But there is a need to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of per-abdominal and laparoscopic method from patients perspective. The study was performed to assess the cost-effectiveness of per-abdominal and laparoscopic cholecystectomy.\u2028Materials and Methods:\u2028This cross sectional study in two sample situations was conducted among 90 purposively selected cholecystectomy patients of which 60 patients underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) and 30 patients underwent per-abdominal cholecystectomy (PAC) from three tertiary level government hospitals of Dhaka, Bangladesh at the time of their discharge through face to face interview using a semi-structured questionnaire and checklist. The study found average age 45.33(13.63) and 41.75(13.39) years in PAC and LC respectively. Average monthly income was less in the PAC group Tk.23200.00(12374.61) than LC Tk.24925.00(12166.86). Average duration of suffering from cholelithiasis was 9.50(8.68) months in PAC group and 12.43(17.49) months in LC group. Average hospital stay was 13.97(6.88) days in PAC group while it was 12.02(6.66) days in LC group. Average treatment cost was little higher Tk.21927.407795.89 in LC group than Tk.21466.306261.42 in the PAC group. Both direct cost and indirect cost were also higher in LC group (Tk.18668.305965.67 and Tk.3661.324229.85) than in PAC group (Tk.18228.004624.75 and Tk.3350.004124.58). But these differences were not statistically significant. In both groups treatment cost significantly increased with duration of hospitalization (correlation, p&lt;0.01). Cure rate was significantly high in LC group (94.4%) than in PAC group (86.7%) (\u03c72, p&lt;0.05).\u2028This study revealed LC method is cost-effective than PAC method. The simulations were performed at four institutes, using different codes and computerized anthropomorphic phantoms. Four exposure scenarios using Ir-192 were modeled: relatively homogeneous in a predominantly AP direction, heterogeneous in a predominantly anterior-posterior (AP) and left-lateral (LLAT) direction, and partially shielded. The items for dosimetry, such as mobile phones, blood tubes, and surface dosimeters, were designed and located based on the experimental pictures. Absorbed doses of dosimeters, such as thermoluminescence dosimeter (TLD), optically stimulated luminescence dosimeters (OSLD), radio-photoluminescence dosimeters (RPLD), and display glasses, inside and outside the phantoms were calculated and compared to the measured doses. In addition, photon energy spectra were calculated at different locations to correct the energy responses of the materials. The simulation results from the four institutes showed agreement with each other, showing an average relative difference of less than 14%. The Pearson\u2019s R-values for the linear fitting of the measured and calculated data ranged from 0.95949 to 0.63479, depending on the exposure scenario and institutes. Finally, the accuracy and limitations of the calculation techniques for the given exposure structures are Digital archaeology deals with the implementation of tools, methods, and theories derived from information and communications technology in archaeology and can thereby be seen as some kind of metascience which correlates to all different subdisciplines in the whole field of archaeology (such as Mesoamerican, classical, or post-medieval archaeology).<\/jats:p>\n<jats:p>Within this bibliography, popular articles focusing on this topic as well as highly specialized papers on single aspects are provided, trying to deliver a holistic collection of papers on digital archaeology. The editor continuously tries to keep this collection up to date. In the first years of its existence, the deparment encountered numerous functioning and organisational difficulties due to the limited space available on location at the time, as is often the case for newly set scientific and educational institutions.\nHowever, thanks to the efforts of competent state institutions, scientific research could eventually focus on three main issues:\na) Homeostasis in the body,\nb) Cardio-respiratory functional systems and their adaptation to different models of weight loads (in order to investigate the influence of dosed loads on histophysiological characteristics of muscles, especially on the state of mitochondrial apparatus, researches were conducted on laboratory animals),\nc) The neurophysiological laboratory especially focused on changes of spontaneous bioelectric activity of different brain structures in terms of the formation of functional systems of behavior. The microelectrode technique of registration of activity of individual neurons that are part of different brain structures was used for the first time. This allowed to investigate the characteristics of individual neurons of the sea slug Aplysia depilans. In the Department of Physiology, researchers' attention was drawn to an orientation-questioning reaction, as a fundamental biological reaction. In addition to the vegetative and electroencephalographic parameters of the mentioned reaction, a special interest was allocated to the neural and neurochemical characteristics of certain brain structures during that reaction. To this end, microelectrode and microiontophoretic examinations of activity of single neurons in various structures of the brain were conducted on laboratory animals.\nIn the middle of the 20th Century, the impact of artificial electromagnetic fields on biological systems was considered as a serious setback.
