Die resultierenden Komplexe repr\u00e4sentieren die ersten bekannten Komplexe mit neutralen, ungesch\u00fctzten \u03c3<jats:sub>B\u2010B<\/jats:sub>\u2010Diboranliganden. Die Einkristall\u2010R\u00f6ntgenstrukturanalysen dieser Komplexe zeigen, dass die X\u2010Cu\u2010Einheit (X=Cl, OTf, C<jats:sub>6<\/jats:sub>F<jats:sub>5<\/jats:sub>) gegen\u00fcber vom verbr\u00fcckenden Wasserstoffatom des Diborans liegt und ann\u00e4hernd senkrecht zur B\u2010B\u2010Bindung steht. Dabei wechselwirkt diese nahezu gleicherma\u00dfen mit beiden Boratomen, woraus eine Verl\u00e4ngerung der B\u2010B\u2010Bindung resultiert. DFT\u2010Studien belegen, dass sowohl \u03c3\u2010Donor\u2010 als auch \u03c0\u2010Akzeptor\u2010Effekte der B\u2010B\u2010Bindung f\u00fcr die Bildung dieser Produkte verantwortlich sind.
