The majority of these were collected during surveys of Panama\u2019s national parks and protected areas during 2017 and 2018, employing both UV and Malaise traps. The new species include: <jats:italic>Alisotrichia eisbergae<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Angrisanoia bokota<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Bredinia paraespinosa<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Cerasmatrichia garfioza<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Cerasmatrichia veraguasensis<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Costatrichia calovebora<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Metrichia calovebora<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Metrichia cascada<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Metrichia chiriquiensis<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Metrichia escobilla<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Metrichia leahae<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Metrichia tatianae<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Ochrotrichia conejoreja<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Ochrotrichia paraflagellata<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, <jats:italic>Oxyethira pehrssonae<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold>, and <jats:italic>Zumatrichia culebra<\/jats:italic><jats:bold>sp. nov.<\/jats:bold> In total, 506 Trichoptera species are now recorded for the Republic of Panama, distributed among 15 families and 56 genera.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.3897\/zookeys.1174.107314","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2023,8,8]],"date-time":"2023-08-08T15:07:18Z","timestamp":1691507238000},"page":"35-74","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":6,"title":["\ufeffThe Trichoptera of Panama XXII.
