Sci."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[1979,3]]},"abstract":"<jats:title>Abstract<\/jats:title><jats:p>In the last two decades, private research organizations, government agencies, and foundations have invested heavily in the collection of social science numeric data, contributing to the proliferation of machine\u2010readable data. However, the development of information technology and the ability to produce data have progressed much more rapidly than our capacity to organize, classify, and reference its availability. There is an immediate need for some type of bibliographic control over MRDF, including guidelines on how to create a proper bibliographic reference.
