To overcome these challenges, an enhanced sliding mode control (ESMC) with real\u2010time disturbance estimation is proposed in this paper. First, to guarantee finite\u2010time stability and rapid convergence, a full\u2010order composite sliding mode (FOCSM) manifold is designed. The ESMC framework integrates a smooth transition function to minimize chattering. Next, to strengthen the ability against disturbances, an adaptive sliding mode disturbance observer (ASMDOB) is developed. Finally, the proposed method is proven effective through simulations and experimental results, which reveal its capability for rapid convergence and robust performance in PMSM speed
