However, existing MLI\u2010SVM schemes are often tied to specific inverter levels or topologies and rely on recursive vector selection, imposing a high computational burden, limiting sampling rates, and increasing torque ripple and reduced drive performance. This paper proposes a generalized SVM algorithm that reduces computation time and seamlessly supports any inverter level or topology to improve real\u2010time drive performance. The method replaces recursive searches with a direct nearest\u2010vector formula and generates all switching states, including redundant vectors. Duty ratios are computed via standard two\u2010level inverter dwell\u2010time equations regardless of operating level. The proposed algorithm was successfully tested on DTFC\u2010fed PMSM drives with two distinct inverter types: 3\u2010 and 5\u2010Level NPC and 3\u2010, 5\u2010, and 7\u2010Level CHB.
