Under these conditions, all cultures were found to contain anti\u2010trinitrophenyl (TNP) antibody plaque\u2010forming cells, some of which were inhibitable by anti\u2010M460 immunoglobulins.<\/jats:p><jats:p>In the course of these studies, it also became apparent that, even in the absence of T cells, B lymphocytes are able to exert regulatory functions.
