{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2023,10,22]],"date-time":"2023-10-22T00:21:09Z","timestamp":1697934069206},"reference-count":30,"publisher":"Wiley","issue":"9","license":[{"start":{"date-parts":[[2005,11,16]],"date-time":"2005-11-16T00:00:00Z","timestamp":1132099200000},"content-version":"vor","delay-in-days":8355,"URL":"http:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/termsAndConditions#vor"}],"content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":["Eur J Immunol"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[1983,1]]},"abstract":"<jats:title>Abstract<\/jats:title><jats:p>The recognition of \u201cself determinants\u201d by an H\u20102K<jats:sup>k<\/jats:sup>\u2010restricted cytotoxic T (T<jats:sub>c<\/jats:sub>) cell clone (K5) has been investigated as follows: (a) differential inhibition of cytotoxicity by several monoclonal antibodies directed to determinants on the H\u20102K<jats:sup>k<\/jats:sup> molecule of the target cells and (b) recognition and lysis of target cell variants of cell line LDHB, which have lost the majority or all of the serological determinants defined by the inhibiting antibodies while still expressing an H\u20102K<jats:sup>k<\/jats:sup> molecule. Such variant cells infected with influenza virus were effectively recognized by T<jats:sub>c<\/jats:sub> cell clone K5, whereas a target cell line, which lacks the K<jats:sup>k<\/jats:sup> molecule, was not lysed.
