SAW resonators permit to achieve higher frequencies than their bulk\u2010wave acoustic counterparts with comparable spectral purity and very high Q, while, due to the planar nature, they result of small size and rugged construction.<\/jats:p><jats:p>The basic SAW resonator operation, with emphasis on design parameters and device configuration, is presented. A complex simulation package for Computer\u2010Aided Design of SAW resonators has been developed.
