We propose an arrangement of parallel banyan networks provided with output buffers that enables more than one packet to reach an output interface of the switch. Different solutions for the packet distribution to the banyan networks of the stack are investigated and the corresponding traffic performance is evaluated. Two types of packet addressing patterns are considered, depending on how many packets are allowed to address each switch outlet.
