Particularly beneficial is the fibre\u2010to\u2010the\u2010building approach, which is being followed in certain areas in Europe. This provides the necessary service flexibility and promises huge capacity upgrades for the future. Following initial deployments the opportunity exists to broaden the deployment throughout Europe. Ubiquitous solutions will enable the benefits of fibre to be brought to smaller and smaller customers.
