Wir entwickelten eine sensitive Analysenmethode, die eine pr\u00e4zise Bestimmung von 7 trans\u2010Fetts\u00e4uren in kleinen Probenmengen erlaubt. Hiermit wiesen wir den materno\u2010fetalen Transport von trans\u2010Fetts\u00e4uren \u00fcber die menschliche Plazenta nach. Der Gehalt in menschlicher Milch h\u00e4ngt von der m\u00fctterlichen Ern\u00e4hrung ab und ist in Deutschland h\u00f6her als im Sudan. Die Verteilung in Vor\u2010 und Nachmilch, in Milchfettfraktionen und innerhalb der Triglyceridmolek\u00fcle wurde untersucht. In handels\u00fcblichen und hausgemachten S\u00e4uglings\u2010Milchnahrungen liegt die trans\u2010Belastung niedriger als in Muttermilch, wobei eine gewisse Chargenvariation besteht. S\u00e4uglinge absorbieren trans\u2010Isomere aus der Nahrung und inkorporieren sie in k\u00f6rpereigene Lipide, Fettgewebe und Zellmembranen. Trans\u2010Fetts\u00e4uren in Plasmalipiden sind bei Muttermilchf\u00fctterung signifikant h\u00f6her als bei Formelern\u00e4hrung. Afrikanische Kinder haben eine signifikant niedrigere Belastung als deutsche. Im Plasma ist der relative Beitrag der trans\u2010Octadecens\u00e4ure in Sterinestern geringer als in Triglyceriden und Phospholipiden, was f\u00fcr eine negative Selektivit\u00e4t der plasmatischen Cholesterol\u2010Veresterung mit dieser Fetts\u00e4ure spricht. Deshalb k\u00f6nnte eine hohe Zufuhr an trans\u2010Octadecens\u00e4ure ung\u00fcnstige Wirkungen auf den Cholesterolspiegel haben. Bei Fr\u00fchgeborenen finden wir eine inverse Korrelation zwischen trans\u2010Fetts\u00e4urebelastung und kindlichem Geburtsgewicht, so da\u00df eine St\u00f6rung des intrauterinen Wachstums m\u00f6glich erscheint. Als eine Ursache kommt eine gest\u00f6rte Biosynthese sehr langkettiger Polyenfetts\u00e4uren in Betracht, f\u00fcr die wir Hinweise fanden.
