Patient\u2010derived cancer cell lines remain important preclinical models for advancement of new therapeutic strategies, and comprehensive characterization of these models is vital in the precision medicine era.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title>Methods<\/jats:title><jats:p>We performed exome and transcriptome sequencing as well as copy number analysis of a panel of LSCC\u2010derived cell lines that were established at the University of Michigan and are used in laboratories worldwide.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title>Results<\/jats:title><jats:p>We observed a complex array of alterations consistent with those reported in The Cancer Genome Atlas head and neck squamous cell carcinoma project, including aberrations in <jats:italic>PIK3CA<\/jats:italic>, <jats:italic>EGFR<\/jats:italic>, <jats:italic>CDKN2A<\/jats:italic>, <jats:italic>TP53<\/jats:italic>, and <jats:italic>NOTCH<\/jats:italic> family and <jats:italic>FAT1<\/jats:italic> genes.
