However, the high number of patients in an ultra\u2010dense hospital requires the installation of numerous medical sensors, incurring congested network traffic. Data collisions and non\u2010priority sessions may occur in the corresponding traffic, dropping the overall performance of H\u2010IoT networks. Thus, it is crucial to rigorously observe the degradation of wireless performance to analyze proper settings and limitations for ultra\u2010dense H\u2010IoT. Accordingly, this paper models the operation of a healthcare IoT network using a three\u2010dimensional discrete\u2010time Markov chain (3D\u2010DTMC) to analyze the performance of H\u2010IoT networks, including expected throughput, expected discovery time consumption, and the probability of successful transmission quantitatively.
