While most studies focus on individual\u2010AI interaction, less is known about group\u2010level cognitive and interactional processes when AI is integrated into shared problem\u2010solving settings.<\/jats:p>\n                  <\/jats:sec>\n                  <jats:sec>\n                    <jats:title>Objectives<\/jats:title>\n                    <jats:p>This study investigates how group collaboration with AI supports creativity\u2010relevant processes in collaborative learning contexts and explores the psychological mechanisms that mediate this effect.<\/jats:p>\n                  <\/jats:sec>\n                  <jats:sec>\n                    <jats:title>Methods<\/jats:title>\n                    <jats:p>Using a within\u2010subject experimental design, 96 university students engaged in a scientific divergent application task under three collaboration modes: group\u2010AI collaboration, individual\u2010AI collaboration and human\u2010only group collaboration. The study adopted a mixed\u2010method approach, combining behavioural coding of perspective\u2010taking and AI utilisation strategies with statistical modelling to examine mediation effects. Tasks were designed to simulate open\u2010ended learning scenarios that emphasise ideation, problem\u2010solving and conceptual integration\u2014core components of collaborative learning.<\/jats:p>\n                  <\/jats:sec>\n                  <jats:sec>\n                    <jats:title>Results and Conclusions<\/jats:title>\n                    <jats:p>Group\u2010AI collaboration led to the most creative outputs in terms of usefulness, originality and quality. This effect was mediated by two key mechanisms: strategic use of AI as a generative and exploratory resource and selective, high\u2010quality integration of both peer and AI\u2010generated ideas.
