The definition of the mixed Ramsey number <jats:italic>t(m, n)<\/jats:italic> differs from <jats:italic>s(m, n)<\/jats:italic> in that the <jats:italic>n<\/jats:italic>\u2010element irredundant set is replaced by an <jats:italic>n<\/jats:italic>\u2010element independent set.
