Let <jats:italic>g<\/jats:italic>(<jats:italic>b,n<\/jats:italic>) be the maximum possible value of <jats:italic>B<\/jats:italic>(<jats:italic>G<\/jats:italic> + <jats:italic>e<\/jats:italic>) when <jats:italic>G<\/jats:italic> has <jats:italic>n<\/jats:italic> vertices and bandwidth <jats:italic>b<\/jats:italic>. The problem of studying when <jats:italic>B<\/jats:italic>(<jats:italic>G<\/jats:italic> + <jats:italic>e<\/jats:italic>) \u2266 <jats:italic>B<\/jats:italic> (<jats:italic>G<\/jats:italic>) + 1 was originally possed by Erdos.
