We show that, although the class of Sperner spaces is a pseudo\u2010elementary class, it is not elementary nor even \u2112\ufe01<jats:sub>\u221e<jats:italic>\u03c9<\/jats:italic><\/jats:sub>\u2010axiomatizable.
