We prove that, conversely, any <jats:inline-graphic xmlns:xlink=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1999\/xlink\" xlink:href=\"graphic\/malq201500094-math-0001.png\" xlink:title=\"urn:x-wiley:09425616:media:malq201500094:malq201500094-math-0001\"\/> subset of the Cantor space with Lebesgue\u2010measure zero can be represented as the set of divergence of some martingale. In fact, this is effective and uniform. A consequence of this is that the set of everywhere converging martingales is <jats:inline-graphic xmlns:xlink=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1999\/xlink\" xlink:href=\"graphic\/malq201500094-math-0002.png\" xlink:title=\"urn:x-wiley:09425616:media:malq201500094:malq201500094-math-0002\"\/>\u2010complete, in a uniform way. We derive from this some universal and complete sets for the whole projective hierarchy, via a general method.
