In order to develop the framework and to encourage consideration of the social justice angle within mainstream LIS discourse and practice, the three studies are examined in light of social justice elements and principles. What is common to these studies is an underlying need to bring about a change in existing power dynamics between who we as information professionals consider central and who we consider peripheral in our teaching, research, and service missions.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1002\/meet.14504301275","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2007,10,10]],"date-time":"2007-10-10T13:54:00Z","timestamp":1192024440000},"page":"1-10","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":11,"title":["A practical framework for social justice research in the information professions"],"prefix":"10.1002","volume":"43","author":[{"given":"Bharat","family":"Mehra","sequence":"first","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Kendra S.","family":"Albright","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Kevin","family":"Rioux","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"311","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2007,10,10]]},"reference":[{"key":"e_1_2_6_2_1","unstructured":"Albright K.
