The latter of these, introduced here for the first time, is found to be an excellent compromise between first\u2010 and all\u2010author ACAs in that (a) Scopus directly supports it and (b) its results are close to those of an (optimal) all\u2010author ACA in fields where last authors are traditionally those who supervise the research published in a paper.
