The panel will first outline some of the trends as represented in the literature and witnessed in our own interactions with learner, the media, in citizen\/government relationships, and everyday life.<\/jats:p><jats:p>We will discuss information literacy in the context of the 21st\u2010century Information Literacy Standards, the web 2.0 technologies, information seeking behavior of various populations, as well as innovations in learning and teaching across the board.<\/jats:p><jats:p>PANEL FORMAT: 90 minutes divided in four parts.<\/jats:p><jats:p>There will be four panelists coming from different backgrounds and rich multidisciplinary experiences:\n<jats:list list-type=\"explicit-label\">\n<jats:list-item><jats:p><jats:bold>WELCOME and INTRODUCTION<\/jats:bold> (Zorana Ercegovac)<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<jats:list-item><jats:p><jats:bold>POSITION STATEMENTS<\/jats:bold> (each panelist has about 10 minutes)<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<\/jats:list>\n<jats:list list-type=\"explicit-label\">\n<jats:list-item><jats:p>John Seely Brown (presenter #1, will also offer closing remarks)<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<jats:list-item><jats:p>Zorana Ercegovac (presenter #4 and moderator)<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<jats:list-item><jats:p>Leslie Johnston (presenter #2)<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<jats:list-item><jats:p>Roberta I.
