The data were collected from users of the most popular SQA site in the two countries respectively. The preliminary findings show that overall SQA serves various user needs, and user satisfaction is at about 70% for both sites. However, user satisfaction with SQA answers varies by the types of questions. This is particularly relevant for Yahoo! Answers users in the United States. SQA users in both countries point out a common set of the most important factors as well as the least important factors for a virtual information service. The practical implications of the study are discussed.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1002\/meet.2014.14505101127","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2015,4,24]],"date-time":"2015-04-24T17:19:02Z","timestamp":1429895942000},"page":"1-4","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":2,"title":["A tale of social Q&As in the united states and china"],"prefix":"10.1002","volume":"51","author":[{"given":"Yin","family":"Zhang","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Library and Information Science Kent State University Kent OH 44240"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Shengli","family":"Deng","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Center for Study of Information Resources Wuhan University Wuhan 430072 China"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Lina","family":"Yang","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Information Management Wuhan University Wuhan China 430072"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"311","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2015,4,24]]},"reference":[{"key":"e_1_2_8_2_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1002\/asi.21562"},{"key":"e_1_2_8_3_1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1002\/meet.14504701048"},{"key":"e_1_2_8_4_1","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","unstructured":"Li B.
