Tech."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2015,1]]},"abstract":"<jats:title>ABSTRACT<\/jats:title>\n                  <jats:p>\n                    Twelve scholars based at information programs worldwide have recently participated in research that asks:\n                    <jats:italic>How is the concept of information visualized in my community and beyond?<\/jats:italic>\n                    The study employed an arts\u2010informed, visual methodology and the draw\u2010and\u2010write technique to stimulate local and global conversations about the pictorial nature of information in society. The work has generated new insights into information as a visual phenomenon and generated an archive of \u201ciSquare\u201d images to be used for information research, education, and practice. As a contribution to the conference theme of \u201cImpact on Society,\u201d this panel introduces the project, describes its technical infrastructure, highlights emerging social scientific and artistic outcomes, and reports cross\u2010cultural discoveries.
