In other words, there is at least one block of each size between the smallest and largest block sizes. Let <jats:italic>B(n)<\/jats:italic> and <jats:italic>G(n)<\/jats:italic>, respectively, denote the number of partitions and the number of gap\u2010free partitions of the set [<jats:italic>n<\/jats:italic>].
