The Maclaurin expansion coefficient is the expansion coefficient of the transfer function in the low\u2010frequency range. If the system is asymptotically stable, then it is directly related to the time\u2010moment of impulse response and it is an important parameter in control system design and approximation problems.<\/jats:p><jats:p>This paper introduces an algebraic method which gives a criterion for stability and the gain margin\/phase margin of the feedback control systems directly from the Maclaurin expansion coefficients without computing the coefficients of denominator\/numerator polynomials.
