Previously, the properties of the pulse\u2010type hardware neuron model were shown using a \u2227\u2010shaped transistor and a temporal feature\u2010detecting circuit designed with the ON\u2010response pulse\u2010type hardware neuron model was presented.<\/jats:p><jats:p>This paper discusses spatial feature\u2010detecting circuits based on the pulse\u2010type hardware neuron model using a \u2227\u2010shaped transistor. First, the properties of the Neural AND Gate based on the pulse\u2010type neuron model are shown and the design requirements and the output regions are clarified by operation analysis for local peak, local valley, and slope\u2010detecting circuits. These circuits are applications for spatial feature detection. Second, the experimental results on the three detecting circuits designed with the pulse\u2010type hardware neuron model using a \u2227\u2010shaped transistor are shown.
