The PLH function is derived from the standard Hough function in a straightforward manner. The PLH\u2010based transformation retains the Hough transform's ability to extract collinearities from an image.<\/jats:p><jats:p>The cost of computing the PLH transform (PLHT) is approximately one\u2010sixth that of the standard Hough transform.
