But in many cases it is equally important to protect the identities of the sender and receiver and also the time of message transmission.<\/jats:p>
This paper proposes communication protocols which make it impossible both for the entities other than the right receiver to decipher the message and for any third party to identify the communicating entities. Since it is impossible in these protocols for any third party to identify the communicators, the protocols are classified into four groups according to whether or not the communicating pair can identify each other. In addition, the security, the implementability, and the mutual relationship of these four kinds of communication protocols are studied.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1002\/scj.4690230902","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2007,7,8]],"date-time":"2007-07-08T00:14:03Z","timestamp":1183853643000},"page":"11-18","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Communication protocols with untraceability of sender and receiver"],"prefix":"10.1002","volume":"23","author":[{"given":"Masahiro","family":"Mambo","sequence":"first","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Hirotsugu","family":"Kinoshita","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"Shigeo","family":"Tsujii","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"311","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2007,3,21]]},"reference":[{"key":"e_1_2_1_2_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1145\/358549.358563"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_3_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1007\/BF00206326"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_4_2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1109\/TIT.1976.1055638"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_5_2","volume-title":"A broadcast communication system guaranteeing uniformity of received data and simultaneously concealing the set of addresses","author":"Fukuchi M.","year":"1990"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_6_2","article-title":"An anonymous communication system and communications in which it is impossible to identify the sender and the receiver","volume":"89","author":"Mambo M.","year":"1989","journal-title":"Information Theory Technical Report"},{"key":"e_1_2_1_7_2","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","unstructured":"R.
