This paper describes a language called LCCD, which is especially intended for high quality design of Chinese characters, although it can in fact be used for any kind of symbols. Special attention is given to the methodology of character design, using a parametric graphical approach. The underlying methods of implementation are also discussed.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1002\/spe.4380111205","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2006,11,17]],"date-time":"2006-11-17T11:52:56Z","timestamp":1163764376000},"page":"1273-1292","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":5,"title":["LCCD a language for Chinese character design"],"prefix":"10.1002","volume":"11","author":[{"given":"Tung Yun","family":"Mei","sequence":"first","affiliation":[]}],"member":"311","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2006,10,27]]},"reference":[{"key":"e_1_2_1_2_2","first-page":"299","article-title":"One approach to computer assisted letter design","volume":"2","author":"Mergler H.
