Ethylene carbonate, a cyclic carbonate, was predicted to form Li\n                    <jats:sup>+<\/jats:sup>\n                    \u2010conductive channels in its frozen crystal structure. A room\u2010temperature ice\u2010phase electrolyte, EC\n                    <jats:sub>0.2T<\/jats:sub>\n                    (0.2\u00a0m LiTFSI in ethylene carbonate), exhibited a high ionic conductivity (\u223c0.64\u00a0mS\u00a0cm\n                    <jats:sup>\u2212<\/jats:sup>\n                    <jats:sup>1<\/jats:sup>\n                    ) and a high Li\n                    <jats:sup>+<\/jats:sup>\n                    transference number (\u223c0.8) via hopping mechanism through solid matrix formed by immobilized solvent molecules. Frozen EC\n                    <jats:sub>0.2T<\/jats:sub>\n                    delivered liquid\u2010electrolyte\u2010level capacity in LFP||Li cells and, more importantly, significantly extended cycle life with a solvent\u2010derived, Li\n                    <jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>\n                    O\u2010rich solid electrolyte interphase.\n
