This involves higher enzyme loading, variation of the alkylsilane precursor, and the use of additives such as isopropyl alcohol, 18\u2010crown\u20106, Tween\u200580<jats:sup>\u00ae<\/jats:sup>, methyl\u2010\u03b2\u2010cyclodextrin and\/or KCl. A dramatic increase in enzyme activity is observed.
