We investigated the association between rs4680 and AoP, after adjusting for relevant covariates, in a Canadian Caucasian sample.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title>Methods<\/jats:title><jats:p>One hundred and sixty\u2010nine subjects with psychosis were recruited. AoP, defined as age of DSM\u2010IV diagnosis was established using the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM\u2010IV. Cannabis use data were collected using a self\u2010report computerized questionnaire. DNA was extracted from saliva and genotyping of the <jats:italic>COMT<\/jats:italic> Val158Met polymorphism was done by SNaPshot and TaqMan assays. Logistic regression and Kaplan\u2013Meier analysis results are reported.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title>Results<\/jats:title><jats:p>In those who had used cannabis before 20\u00a0years of age, rs4680 had a trend level effect on AoP (median AoP: Val\/Val\u00a0&lt;\u00a0Val\/Met\u00a0&lt;\u00a0Met\/Met 19.37, 20.95, 21.24\u00a0years, respectively;
