It thus represents a \u201cthird term\u201d between mind and body from a constructivist perspective.<\/jats:p><jats:p>Body image concept is analyzed to determine how it has been constructed, from psychological to sociological perspectives and with a gendered perspective, considering that one of third\u2010wave feminists' main concerns is body image, emphasizing how women are depicted in the media as a means of continuing to oppress women and causing biased body image and low self\u2010esteem. The focus is on body image: from its two main dimensions of self\u2010evaluation and body investment. These dimensions include social meanings of bodies and the role they play in societies.
