We report a study of the serum clearance method of dose adjustment of carbenicillin in patients with normal and impaired renal function. This method was found to provide serum concentrations considered to be satisfactory in every instance, by either constant\u2010rate or intermittent infusion, and should enable greater precision in the use of the antibiotic.
