A small amount of fetal bovine serum or the macromolecular fraction of fetal bovine serum (FBSM) is also needed for growth. Medium F12 supplemented with CEEM plus FBSM supports moderate clonal growth of the rabbit chondrocytes with excellent expression of differentiated properties.
