Model parameters (equilibrium parameters, capacity factor, axial dispersion, film mass transfer coefficient, and intraparticle effective diffusivity) are experimentally determined from independent experiments. Numerical solution of the model equations uses the method of lines with double orthogonal collocation in finite elements.
