Only diterpenoids with a quinone framework revealed anti\u2010MTB activity. Abietane <jats:bold>5<\/jats:bold> and its 6,12\u2010dibenzoyl, 12\u2010methoxybenzoyl, 12\u2010chlorobenzoyl, and 12\u2010nitrobenzoyl esters, <jats:bold>9, 11, 12<\/jats:bold>, and <jats:bold>13<\/jats:bold>, respectively, showed potent activities against the MDR strain with <jats:italic>MIC<\/jats:italic> values between 3.12 and 0.39\u2005\u03bcg\/ml. Cytotoxic activities towards 3T3 and <jats:italic>Vero<\/jats:italic> cells were also evaluated. Compound <jats:bold>11<\/jats:bold>, with the best selectivity index, may be a suitable lead for further chemical modifications.
