A pronounced dose\u2010dependent growth\u2010inhibitory effect was observed for all prenylated derivatives, except for<jats:bold>7<\/jats:bold>. The chalcone possessing one prenyloxy group at C(2\u2032),<jats:italic>i.e.<\/jats:italic>,<jats:bold>2<\/jats:bold>, was the most active derivative against the three human tumor cell lines (5.9&lt;<jats:italic>GI<\/jats:italic><jats:sub>50<\/jats:sub>&lt;7.7\u2005\u03bc<jats:sc>M<\/jats:sc>).
