Its bark is used in traditional Thai medicine to treat digestive disorders. Phytochemical investigation of the crude MeOH extract of the root woods of <jats:italic>O. integerrima<\/jats:italic> furnished an unreported isoflavone glycoside, gerontoisoflavone A\u20104\u2032\u2010<jats:italic>O<\/jats:italic>\u2010<jats:italic>\u03b2<\/jats:italic>\u2010D\u2010xylopyranoside (<jats:bold>1<\/jats:bold>), together with the previously described irisolone methyl ether (<jats:bold>2<\/jats:bold>), iriskumaonin methyl ether (<jats:bold>3<\/jats:bold>), iriskumaonin (<jats:bold>4<\/jats:bold>), gerontoisoflavone A (<jats:bold>5<\/jats:bold>), isoprunetin (<jats:bold>6<\/jats:bold>), a flavone glycoside, vitexin (<jats:bold>7<\/jats:bold>), and a chromone derivative, lophilone A (<jats:bold>8<\/jats:bold>). The structure of <jats:bold>1<\/jats:bold> was elucidated by 1D and 2D NMR spectral analysis as well as HRMS data. Compounds <jats:bold>1<\/jats:bold>\u2013<jats:bold>7<\/jats:bold> were evaluated for their 2,2\u2010diphenyl\u20101\u2010picrylhydrazil radical (DPPH\u22c5) scavenging activity and antiplasmodial activity against a chloroquine\u2010 and pyrimethamine\u2010resistant strain of <jats:italic>Plasmodium falciparum<\/jats:italic> (K1). Compounds <jats:bold>5<\/jats:bold> exhibited strongest scavenging activity, with a scavenging concentration at 50\u2009% (SC<jats:sub>50<\/jats:sub>) of 137.7\u2005\u03bcM, while <jats:bold>4<\/jats:bold> and <jats:bold>6<\/jats:bold> displayed weak scavenging activity, with SC<jats:sub>50<\/jats:sub> values of 4 and 5 times higher than that of <jats:bold>5<\/jats:bold>.
