Coordination polymers [Mo<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>O<jats:sub>6<\/jats:sub>(<jats:italic>Htrgly<\/jats:italic>)]\u2009\u22c5\u2009H<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>O (<jats:bold>1<\/jats:bold>) and [MoO<jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>(<jats:italic>trleuH<\/jats:italic>)]\u2009\u22c5\u20090.5H<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>O (<jats:bold>2<\/jats:bold>) were prepared and structurally characterized. Compound <jats:bold>1<\/jats:bold> adopts a structure in which edge\u2010sharing MoO<jats:sub>6<\/jats:sub> octahedra are organized in a ribbon motif <jats:italic>via<\/jats:italic> \u03bc<jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>\u2010O bridges. The <jats:italic>Htrgly<\/jats:italic> ligand exists as a zwitterion: \u2212CO<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub><jats:sup>\u2212<\/jats:sup> links two Mo<jats:sup>VI<\/jats:sup> in a \u03bc<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>\u2010\u03b7<jats:sup>1<\/jats:sup>\u2009:\u2009\u03b7<jats:sup>1<\/jats:sup> mode, while positively charged triazolium is left uncoordinated. In <jats:bold>2<\/jats:bold>, Mo atoms are joined in a chain through \u03bc<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>\u2010O. The more hydrophobic <jats:italic>trleuH<\/jats:italic> appears in a nonionized form and its [N\u2212N] sites serve as a \u201cclamp\u201d for supporting the [\u2212OMo(O)<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>\u2212OMo(O)<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>(<jats:italic>tr<\/jats:italic>)<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>]<jats:sub>n<\/jats:sub> sequence. The complexes were explored for liquid phase catalytic epoxidation of <jats:italic>cis<\/jats:italic>\u2010cyclooctene, using H<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>O<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub> or <jats:italic>tert<\/jats:italic>\u2010butylhydroperoxide as oxidants. The hybrids showed good catalytic activity, and <jats:bold>2<\/jats:bold> behaved as a reaction\u2010induced self\u2010separating catalyst for olefin epoxidation with H<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>O<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>, presenting advantages of homogeneous and heterogeneous
