The catalyst showed a good stability, and high enantioselectivity was achieved in the fixed\u2010bed reactor. Chromatographic separation of (<jats:italic>R<\/jats:italic>)\u2010 and (<jats:italic>S<\/jats:italic>)\u2010ethyl mandelate originating from a post\u2010continuous hydrogenation reaction of ethyl benzoylformate over the (\u2013)\u2010CD\u2010modified Pt\/Al<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>O<jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub> catalyst was investigated in the same reaction mixture. A commercial column filled with a chiral selector resin was chosen as a perspective preparative\u2010scale adsorbent. Since adsorption equilibrium isotherms were linear within the entire investigated range of concentrations, they were determined by pulse experiments for the isomers present in a post\u2010reaction mixture.
