Glassy carbon electrodes modified with carbon nanocomposites produce cyclic voltammograms that are consistent with surface\u2010confined redox processes attributed to Mo\u2010centred reduction (Mo<jats:sup>VI<\/jats:sup>\u2192Mo<jats:sup>V<\/jats:sup>) and vanadium reduction (V<jats:sup>V<\/jats:sup>\u2192V<jats:sup>IV<\/jats:sup>) for PMo<jats:sub>11<\/jats:sub>V and PMo<jats:sub>10<\/jats:sub>V<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>. Furthermore, they show very high stabilities and well\u2010resolved redox peaks with high current intensities. The observed enhancement of the electrochemical properties of polyoxometalates (POMs) is a consequence of strong electronic communication between POMs and carbon nanomaterials.
