The two series of PEs prepared, doped with lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide or lithium tetrafluoroborate and incorporating glycerol, exhibited outstanding filmogenic properties, very high transparency, and suitable adhesion to glass substrates. Despite their poor ionic conductivity, the SF\u2010based films were employed in the construction of glass\/ITO\/WO<jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>\/PE\/CeO<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>\u2013TiO<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>\/ITO\/glass electrochromic devices displaying an optical modulation up to 5.5\u2009% at <jats:italic>\u03bb<\/jats:italic>=633\u2005nm, a switching speed of about 15\u2005s, stability up to 5160\u2005cycles, and coloration efficiency up to \u221253.1\u2005m<jats:sup>2<\/jats:sup>\u2009C<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup>.
