In\u2005vivo toxicity toward DBA mice is very low, even at doses of 20\u2005mg\u2009kg<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup>. In\u2005vivo pharmacokinetics and biodistribution of TCPBSO<jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>H were studied in DBA mice with S91 tumors; 24\u2005h after intraperitoneal injection of 10\u2005mg\u2009kg<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup>, TCPBSO<jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>H demonstrated preferential accumulation in S91 mouse melanoma, with tumor\u2010to\u2010normal tissue ratios of 3 and 5 for muscle and skin, respectively. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) performed under these conditions, with 90\u2005mW\u2009cm<jats:sup>\u22122<\/jats:sup> diode laser irradiation at <jats:italic>\u03bb<\/jats:italic>\u2005750\u2005nm for 20\u2005min (total light dose of 108\u2005J\u2009cm<jats:sup>\u22122<\/jats:sup>), resulted in tumor regression.
