Herein, a set of novel azaindoles, comprising the four regioisomers, bearing a morpholine (azaindoles <jats:bold>3\u2009a\u2010d<\/jats:bold>) and <jats:italic>N<\/jats:italic>\u2010methyl\u2010<jats:italic>N<\/jats:italic>\u2010benzylamine (azaindoles <jats:bold>4\u2009a\u2010d<\/jats:bold>) groups were prepared. Among these compounds, azaindoles <jats:bold>4<\/jats:bold> exhibited higher cytotoxicity against the ovarian cancer cell line A2780 and normal dermal fibroblasts compared to azaindoles <jats:bold>3<\/jats:bold>.
