Their conjugation with lithium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide resulted in the formation of stable room\u2010temperature ionic liquids. In view of their use as potential electrolytes the physicochemical characterization of these attractive ionic liquids was performed. These compounds presented a glass transition temperature between \u221243 and \u221234\u2009\u00b0C, good thermal stability up to 224\u2009\u00b0C, densities above 1.44\u2005g\u2009cm<jats:sup>\u22123<\/jats:sup> at 25\u2009\u00b0C, and viscosities between 3.56 and 12.27\u2005Pa\u2009s at 25\u2009\u00b0C. In terms of conductivity the most promising ionic liquid showed an excellent conductivity between 8.66\u00d710<jats:sup>\u22125<\/jats:sup>\u2005S\u2009cm<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup> at 25\u2009\u00b0C and 1.80\u00d710<jats:sup>\u22123<\/jats:sup>\u2005S\u2009cm<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup> at 90\u2009\u00b0C.
