The organic\u2013inorganic hybrids obtained K<jats:italic><jats:sub>n<\/jats:sub><\/jats:italic>[Ln<jats:italic><jats:sub>x<\/jats:sub><\/jats:italic>(\u03b1<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>\u2010P<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>M<jats:sub>17<\/jats:sub>O<jats:sub>61<\/jats:sub>)(picOH)<jats:sub>7<\/jats:sub>]<jats:bold>\u00b7<\/jats:bold><jats:italic>y<\/jats:italic>H<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>O (M<jats:sup>VI<\/jats:sup> = W and Ln<jats:sup>III<\/jats:sup> = La, Ce, Sm, Eu, Tb, Er; or M<jats:sup>VI<\/jats:sup> = Mo and Ln<jats:sup>III<\/jats:sup> = Eu) were characterized by chemical analysis and spectroscopic methods such as FTIR and FT\u2010Raman, <jats:sup>31<\/jats:sup>P and <jats:sup>13<\/jats:sup>C MAS NMR spectroscopy. Photoluminescence measurements on the prepared hybrid materials were performed showing the intra\u20104f<jats:sup>N<\/jats:sup> emission in the visible (Eu<jats:sup>III<\/jats:sup>, Tb<jats:sup>III<\/jats:sup> compounds) and in the near\u2010infrared (Er<jats:sup>III<\/jats:sup> compound) spectral regions, being, in all the cases, sensitized by both the picOH ligand and the polyoxometalate moiety. A maximum quantum yield value of 0.18 was found for K<jats:sub>11<\/jats:sub>[Eu<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>(\u03b1<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>\u2010P<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>Mo<jats:sub>17<\/jats:sub>O<jats:sub>61<\/jats:sub>)(picOH)<jats:sub>7<\/jats:sub>]<jats:bold>\u00b7<\/jats:bold>10H<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>O.(\u00a9 Wiley\u2010VCH Verlag GmbH &amp; Co.
