These novel nitrile\u2010functionalized poly(alkylidenamine) dendrimers peripherally functionalized with the ruthenium moieties [Ru(\u03b7<jats:sup>5<\/jats:sup>\u2010C<jats:sub>5<\/jats:sub>H<jats:sub>5<\/jats:sub>)(PPh<jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>)<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>]<jats:sup>+<\/jats:sup> and [RuCl(dppe)<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>]<jats:sup>+<\/jats:sup> (<jats:bold>8<\/jats:bold>\u2013<jats:bold>11<\/jats:bold>) were fully characterized by NMR (<jats:sup>1<\/jats:sup>H, <jats:sup>13<\/jats:sup>C, <jats:sup>31<\/jats:sup>P), TOF\u2010MS and FTIR.
