The Zn(OTf)<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>\u2010catalyzed reaction allowed the selective synthesis of 4\u2010(tetrazol\u20105\u2010yl)\u20101<jats:italic>H<\/jats:italic>\u2010imidazole derivatives.
